Plugins

WordPress plugins extend the core functionality of WordPress, enabling users and developers to create solutions without having to spend a bunch of time on writing new code. But there are so many plugins to choose from!

Which ones should you use? Hopefully the plugins and resources listed here, all recommended by at least one of our members, will point you in the right direction.

This page is currently a work in progress. Our goal is to make it a compilation of useful resources for choosing and using WordPress plugins.

These plugins have been recommended by members of our community through WordPress meetups. If there’s something you’d like to add, feel free to leave a comment below.

  1. Note that Broken Link Checker is not allowed to be installed on Managed WordPress at GoDaddy.

  2. I’ve created a test WordPress install and installed as many of the plugins listed above. I did not install any commercial plugins not available for free download such as Gravity Forms. Many of these are not activated so please activate them before use. Do not uninstall any plugins.
