On Tuesday February 20, the WordPress Toronto North York meetup moved our location to the North York Civic Centre off the North York Centre subway stop. We had a record number of attendees: 24 people attended the meet-up; 8 of our core group and 16 new members. That’s 80% of the RSVPs on the meetup! … Read more
This month’s WordPress Weekend meetup covered on-site SEO. Many thanks to David Michaels for presenting and to Eric Ayache of Guaranteed SEO for dropping in to share some expertise.
Here’s a quick recap of what we covered during the meetup.
Longtime WPToronto members may recall that we used to host afternoon meetups on the second or third Saturday of every month.
Our first regular venue was at the back of Pauper’s Pub near Bloor & Bathurst. As the group grew, we migrated to other venues like the Toronto Public Library.
In the years since then our group has continued to grow. We have more organizers, more members, and more events than ever before. And now that we’re officially part of the global WordPress Meetup chapter program, we expect there to be more new faces showing up.
With that in mind, we’ve rebooted the weekend WordPress series, creatively dubbed “WordPress Weekend”. (Original, right?)
